Cannas are easy to grow rhizomes that add dramatic color to beds, borders or containers.
The most commonly seen colors are red and yellow. But bright orange, orange and yellow combinations, and soft salmon can also be seen in gardens across the country.
Typically hardy in zones 7 and above, the rhizomes should be dug every 3 years. That is a good time to try some in other areas of your yard or give to a friend.
